The hotel was fairly clean with super-friendly and accommodating staff members. I had japanese-style room with a private bathroom. The setting was stunning and amazing, near to local temples and gardens, Jakko-in Temple which is located near the minshuku and lovely local shops and shrines and temples that are walking distance. I greatly enjoyed hot beverages at Cafe Apied;)))

I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The remote location in the forest was breathtaking, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The delicious Miso-nabe dinner was definitely worth the extra cost, offering an authentic Japanese culinary experience. The traditional tatami rooms with futon beds added to the overall charm of the stay.

It offers a unique experience of traditional Japanese life, with its tatami rooms and authentic Japanese meals. The staff here are incredibly friendly and even provide a free shuttle service, which was a lifesaver for us when we arrived late at night in the pouring rain. The onsen baths, especially the outdoor one, are a perfect way to relax and connect with nature. And the location is perfect - it's close enough to Kyoto city center for a day trip, but far enough to enjoy the tranquility of the mountains.
All was great, nothing to complain about.
